Our Story

Nom Bé began with a simple question: why is it still so difficult for a family to find the right domestic helper, even when the need is both genuine and urgent?

Many families in Vietnam need support in their daily lives, yet the search process often lacks transparency. Whether a family needs help with the home, a baby, a newborn, or an older relative, the difficulty is not always a lack of options. The greater challenge is often not having enough information to evaluate someone before deciding to make contact.

An everyday need that matters deeply

As family life becomes busier, finding help at home is no longer a minor concern. Some families need a domestic helper to bring stability to their daily routine. Others need someone to help care for a young child. Some need support for an older parent or an ill family member at home.

In many cases, however, families still have little control over the search. They may receive recommendations through several intermediaries, be given incomplete information, or have to decide too soon without really knowing whom they are about to contact. This can turn a practical need into a tiring, time-consuming, and sometimes worrying experience.

The problem does not only affect families

When we looked more closely, we saw that this was not only a hiring problem. Many domestic helpers have genuine experience, take their work seriously, and want stable jobs, yet they are navigating the same lack of transparency.

They may have strong skills and the right experience for particular roles, but few opportunities to present that information clearly to families. Details are often shortened, stripped of context, or unable to reflect what the person can actually do. Families then struggle to find the right help, while suitable domestic helpers struggle to be seen for who they are.

Why Nom Bé was built as a platform

Nom Bé grew from the belief that finding a domestic helper should be approached as a platform problem, not merely as a contact list or a short-term referral service.

We believe families should be able to view profiles first, read clearer information, and make their own assessment based on their actual needs. Domestic helpers should also have a place where their experience, preferred work areas, work arrangements, and job expectations can be presented more fully.

That is why Nom Bé is designed so that:

What we want to change about the experience

Nom Bé was not created to make hiring a domestic helper more complicated. Our goal is the opposite: to make the process clearer, more structured, and closer to what people actually need.

For families, that means helping them:

Nom Bé's mission

Nom Bé's mission is to help families and domestic helpers in Vietnam connect more directly, more clearly, and in a way that better suits the real needs of both sides.

For families, this begins with understanding whom they need: a live-in domestic helper, a part-time domestic helper, or someone to provide in-home care for an ill family member.

For domestic helpers, it begins with having a place to present their experience accurately and find families that genuinely need the kind of work they offer.

Domestic work deserves to be taken more seriously

In Vietnam, domestic work is often treated as a temporary need, even though it plays a significant role in family life. The right person can help a household become more stable, reduce pressure, and give family members more time for the things that matter.

We also believe domestic helpers deserve greater respect. This is not simply manual work. In many roles, it calls for patience, responsibility, care skills, and a strong ability to adapt to different households.

When both sides are taken more seriously, the quality of the connection can improve as well.

Nom Bé does not want to build trust through promises that go beyond what the platform can deliver. We want to earn trust by explaining how Nom Bé works and giving users more information before they decide.
