Trust and Safety
Updated: May 31, 2026
Trust and safety are central to how Nom Bé operates. When families look for domestic helpers and domestic helpers look for suitable work, both sides need more than information. They also need a process that is clear enough to let them evaluate the situation before going further.
Nom Bé is designed so that users can review profiles, consider their options, and only pay when they want to view contact details of a specific person. This approach cannot eliminate every risk, but it helps protect contact information and limits the broad public exposure of contact details.
ChatGPT App data use
When you use Nom Bé in ChatGPT, the Nom Bé ChatGPT App provides read-only search of public domestic-helper profiles. You do not need to sign in to a Nom Bé account to search in the ChatGPT App. The ChatGPT App does not perform write actions, change profiles, create payment transactions, or reveal phone numbers or direct contact details for domestic helpers.
To perform a search, the ChatGPT App may process tool inputs that you provide or that ChatGPT passes to the tool, including:
- Your language or locale signals provided by ChatGPT
- A location, address, city, district, ward, or coordinates when available
- Service type, salary range, age range, experience range, and preferred languages
- Result ordering and page number
- Clarification details when a location, service type, or language needs to be resolved
The tool output returned to the ChatGPT App only includes public profile data and information needed to display search results, such as name, age, years of experience, expected salary, service type, location, verification status, public profile image, profile URL, pagination, result messages, and clarification options when needed. These results do not include phone numbers or direct contact details for domestic helpers.
Nom Bé uses this data to match helper profiles, resolve locations and filters, display public results in ChatGPT, maintain service reliability, debug errors, prevent abuse, and improve the search experience. If you click a profile link from the ChatGPT App and open the Nom Bé website, we may record ChatGPT referral data to understand traffic sources and support reasonable conversion measurement.
Data may be processed by OpenAI/ChatGPT as the host environment for the ChatGPT App, by Nom Bé systems and databases, by hosting, infrastructure, or public file providers such as Cloudinary for profile images, by analytics, error monitoring, or security providers where needed for operations, and by competent authorities when legally required. Nom Bé does not sell your personal data to advertisers.
For retention, Nom Bé does not intentionally store raw ChatGPT conversation text as helper-search records in its database. If you click a profile link from the ChatGPT App, referral attribution cookies may last up to 30 days. Technical referral-click telemetry such as IP address and user agent is cleared from referral records after 90 days when the cleanup process runs. Account, profile, payment, or transaction data created if you continue using the Nom Bé website outside the ChatGPT App is handled under the broader Privacy Policy and may be retained for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, service support, or platform protection needs.
You can control your data by choosing not to provide optional filters, choosing not to click profile links if you do not want to leave ChatGPT for the Nom Bé website, managing cookies in your browser, and contacting Nom Bé for privacy or personal data requests through Contact us.
1. Trust on Nom Bé is built from multiple layers of information
We do not treat “trust” as a single label. In practice, the trustworthiness of a profile or interaction usually depends on several factors considered together, such as:
- How complete and clear the profile is
- Whether the information provided by the user is consistent
- Review or verification steps appropriate to the circumstances
- How the user describes their experience, work areas, and job preferences
- Interaction history and reports made on the platform
Users should therefore evaluate each profile as a whole rather than relying on any one signal.
2. Public profiles let families evaluate candidates before starting direct-hire access
One important way to improve transparency is to let families review profiles before paying to start direct-hire access. Instead of beginning with a call when they do not yet have enough information, families can read profiles and review experience, work areas, expected salary, and preferred work arrangements before selecting a specific person.
This helps families:
- Compare multiple candidates for the same need
- Exclude unsuitable profiles before starting direct-hire access
- Prepare clearer questions for the first conversation
- Take greater control of the selection process
For a complete explanation of this process, see How Nom Bé works.
3. Verification and review are applied as appropriate
Nom Bé may apply one or more verification or review steps depending on the type of account, profile, and operational circumstances. These steps may involve account information, contact details, identity documents, or an appropriate review of the profile.
For domestic helpers, improving the trustworthiness of a profile may involve suitable verification or review before the profile is displayed or continues to be used on the platform. Verification does not, however, mean that Nom Bé provides an absolute guarantee of work quality, suitability, or hiring outcome.
In other words, verification is one supporting layer that makes the connection process clearer. It does not replace the parties' own assessment.
4. Profiles may be reviewed before they are displayed publicly
Nom Bé currently applies an appropriate level of manual approval or review before certain profiles are displayed publicly. This helps reduce incomplete or unsuitable profiles and identifies cases that may require further consideration.
Not all information on the platform is necessarily reviewed to the same depth at all times. Some profiles may receive closer review than others depending on the context and the level of risk identified.
Users should understand that a profile's appearance on the platform is not an absolute guarantee. A published profile is a starting point for evaluation, not a substitute for further discussion and confirmation between the two parties.
5. Phone number access is an important layer of protection
An important distinction on Nom Bé is that families do not pay for a directory of contact details. A family only pays when it wants to view contact details of a specific domestic helper selected after reviewing the profile.
At this stage, Nom Bé processes payment and displays the contact details to the correct family while its access remains valid. This design helps ensure that:
- Families do not have to make direct contact too early, before selecting the right person
- Domestic helpers do not have to make their contact details public to everyone who views their profiles
- The release of contact information has a clearer purpose
- A domestic helper's privacy is better protected before a family pays
Once the contact details appear, the two parties communicate directly if they wish to continue.
6. The direct-hire access fee does not cover a hiring outcome
Nom Bé records the fee when payment succeeds and the selected profile's contact details are displayed to the family. This is the service the platform provides: processing payment and opening access to the contact details of a specific profile during the access period.
Support or refunds are only considered when an issue falls within the scope of the service. Examples may include:
- Payment succeeds, but a system error prevents the contact details from appearing
- The profile contains a serious discrepancy in its core information
- A technical, payment, or operational error occurs on the platform
It is important to understand that Nom Bé does not charge for a guaranteed hiring outcome. Payment covers access to the selected profile's contact details for the stated period.
7. Reporting profiles, conduct, and communications is part of the safety process
Nom Bé allows users to report issues that arise on the platform. Families can report a domestic helper's profile or conduct if something appears unusual. Domestic helpers can also report families or communications that are inconsistent with the platform's intended purpose.
Reports may be used to:
- Review the relevant profile or content
- Restrict visibility or access when necessary
- Address spam, harassment, impersonation, or misuse
- Improve operating standards and platform quality
We encourage users to report concerning signs instead of overlooking potential risks at an early stage.
8. Nom Bé may review proactively and respond to user reports
To protect the platform experience, Nom Bé may conduct appropriate proactive reviews and may also address content or conduct based on user reports. The aim is to reduce spam, abuse, harassment, inaccurate information, and other misuse.
Users should also understand that no system can guarantee the detection or prevention of every risk in every situation. Alongside the protections provided by the platform, users must remain attentive and exercise their own judgment.
9. What Nom Bé does and does not do
To avoid misunderstandings about the platform's scope, it is important to distinguish between these roles.
Nom Bé may:
- Display public profiles so that users can evaluate them first
- Apply appropriate review or verification steps
- Provide ways to report content, profiles, and conduct
- Process payment and direct-hire access for specific profiles
- Hide contact details again when access expires
Nom Bé does not, by default:
- Conduct criminal background checks as a general commitment for every profile
- Hold money in escrow between the parties
- Guarantee that the parties will proceed with a hire
- Participate in resolving disputes after the parties make direct contact
Stating these limits clearly helps this Trust and Safety page reflect how the platform actually operates without creating an impression of guarantees beyond its scope.
10. How users can use the platform more safely
Users also play an important role in creating a safer experience. Practical steps include:
- Read profiles carefully before starting direct-hire access
- Only pay to start direct-hire access after selecting the person you genuinely want to contact
- Clarify the duties, location, schedule, and salary before making contact
- Report profiles, conduct, or communications that appear unusual
- Avoid sharing additional personal information too early or beyond what is necessary
- End the conversation if you notice signs that the situation is unsuitable

11. Trust comes from transparency, not excessive promises
Nom Bé seeks to build trust by clearly explaining how the platform operates rather than making promises beyond its actual scope. We believe a safer experience comes from combining:
- Clearer profiles
- A process for reviewing information before starting direct-hire access
- Controlled direct-hire access
- Appropriate review and reporting
- Better privacy at the beginning of the process
- Each user's own careful assessment
